AeroPress

You will need:

  • 1 AeroPress
  • 1 paper or metal filter for AeroPress
  • 1 stopwatch
  • 14 g of coffee ground according to the chosen filter
  • 250 ml of water at 84°C
  • 1 cup

Duration: 1 minute 30 of immersion

With the AeroPress, you can quickly prepare your coffee. In addition, thanks to the paper filter, you have no residue in the cup and this coffee maker is easily transportable.

Preparation method

  • Heat water to 84°C. If you don't have a thermometer, you can bring the water to a boil then let it cool for 30 to 40 seconds without covering.
  • Place the filter in the filter holder and rinse it with a little water.
  • Screw the filter holder onto the cylinder and place it upside down on a cup or pitcher. Place the 14 g of ground coffee in the cylinder.
  • Start the stopwatch and pre-infuse for 30 seconds with 60 ml of water, stir. Pour the rest of the water (190 ml) into the cylinder, stir.
  • Place the plunger on the cylinder without pressing and let the coffee infuse until the stopwatch reads 1 minute.
  • Gently push the plunger down. This should take about 30 seconds.

A variation: some prefer to use only a little water (100 ml in total) to concentrate the aromas, even if it means diluting the coffee later.
