According to the legend the roots of coffee in India go back more than 400 years, when a Islamic traveller, anmed Baba Budan, took 7 coffee beans with him and planted them at the entrance of a cave. The micro-lot, from where this coffee stems, is located in the Western Ghats, a mountain range in the South-east of India. It owes it's name to the ancient gold diggers in the region, that later became coffee producers. The handpicked "Golden Nugget" undergoes a drastic selection, only keeping the largest and most uniform beans.
