In Colombia, coffee cultivation has shaped the landscapes and daily lives of producers since the 19th century. Thanks to exceptional climatic diversity and altitudes between 1,400 and 2,100 meters, the regions of Cauca, Tolima, Antioquia, and the Coffee Axis offer ideal conditions for producing high-quality coffees. This Tumbaga Sugarcane Decaf comes from various farms working in close partnership with Sucafina Colombia, within an integrated supply chain that guarantees traceability, consistency, and accessibility throughout the year. The cherries are harvested and fully washed before being decaffeinated using the natural ethyl-acetate method, derived from sugarcane. This gentle process extracts caffeine while preserving most of the aromatic compounds. The quality teams pre-select batches with high body, good sweetness, and moderate acidity, to obtain a perfectly balanced cup after decaffeination. For this decaffeinated coffee, we have chosen a medium roast that highlights its roundness and richness. In the cup, it offers a generous body, natural sweetness, and notes of brown sugar, hazelnut, and dried date. A harmonious and comforting coffee, to be enjoyed at any time of day, without caffeine.
