The Tapachula coffee originates from an Aztec region, whose economical prosperity has been tightly related to coffee cultivation in the 19th century. The region reaches from the extreme South-west of the Sierra Madre of Chiapas, close to Guatemala, to the shores of the Pacific Ocean. The coffee is cultivated at the foot of the Tacana and El Triunfo volcanoes, on tablelands that reach altitudes of up to 1500 meters. There it benefits from a biosphere with plenty of natural and ecological resources. The present ecosystem is home to many different plants. This allows the plantations to benefit from the shadows cast by the vast forests and reunites all elements necessary to cultivate exceptional coffee.
