Tito Burbano bought the farm La Azucena from his neighbour over seven years ago. He and his wife got inspired by their neighbours and traditions in the region and started to enhance the soil and to plant coffee trees. Lately they decided to experiment and plant pink bourbon. They were fascinated when they tasted their coffee for the first time, and they never regretted the decision. This special cultivar gives an excellent cup score and helps them to improve their income, it also brings even more natural diversity and keeps their land and soil healthier. Tito Burbano's coffee was awarded as the “Colombia Presidential Coffee”.
Pink Bourbon is an exotic variety, product of a rare hybridization between "Red" and "Yellow Bourbon". It has a disease resistance and the cherries ripen to a rosy pink/orange color giving name to this unique coffee variety. Its beans have a soft profile with finesse and aromatic complexity. A highly distinguished and valued variety giving a cupping quality with an incredibly high cup score.
