Although the coffee plant was only just introduced in Kenya at the end of the 19th century, the country has been able to conquer it's own spot in the worldwide coffee market, particularly in the niche of specialty coffee. The coffee industry employs around 6 million people there. This grand cru is cultivated at the foot of Mount Kenya in the mountain range of Aberdare. It is awarded the AA grade, the highest grade within the rating system for arabica's. The medium to light roast brings out the complexity and profoundness of the aroma that is granted by the natural richness of the Kenyan sun.
